目的:
The purpose of the 替代运输委员会 (ATN) is to assist 加州大学洛杉矶分校 in identifying and prioritizing recommended opportunities to improve pedestrian, 骑自行车, transit and other non-single occupancy vehicle commute modes to overcome barriers to the use by members of the campus community.
Developed as a policy from the CSU 运输 and 停车 Policy, the 加州大学洛杉矶分校 ATN committee goals are considered to meet the transportation needs of students, 教师, 工作人员和访客在其校园安全, 公平的, cost-effective mobility options that deliver infinite and accessible opportunities.
职责与权限:
- Develop a report of the campus' transportation needs and recommendations to improve bicycle, 步行和公交通勤模式共享.
- Provide input to the development of the campus' 运输 Demand Management Plan.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the campus' 运输 Demand Management strategies through cost/benefit analysis and hourly utilization of various transportation modes.
- Identify and recommend 运输 Demand Management strategies to prioritize for campus investment and help request/seek funding for those strategies.
- Use campus transportation performance data to recommend new programs and/or changes in strategy.
- Assist in determining the need for the construction of new parking assets or improvement of existing parking assets.
- In the event of a new parking improvement and/or facility is needed, provide a letter to confirm the recommendation of the 替代运输委员会

Membership for 教师 and 工作人员 shall be for a period of two (2) years, 错开保证连续性. 学生每年任命一次. Recommendations for membership from campus constituencies should consider the backgrounds of the persons selected to ensure that students with disabilities 和学生 from disadvantage communities are represented.
